Place a dollop of frosting in the middle of a cake stand. Place some parchment paper down and start stacking your cake rounds. For the first layer: chocolate center, vanilla middle, strawberry outside. Very thin layer of frosting in between. For the second layer, strawberry center, chocolate middle, vanilla outside. Frost. For the third and final layer: vanilla center, strawberry middle, chocolate outside. Frost and then frost the outside of the cake. GO THICK. If you are doing the chocolate swirl, a slightly thicker outer layer of frosting works better.
