关于刘水石
独立思辨，深刻理性之下的纯粹感知与创作——刘水石（1962年-，早年就读于西安美院）。
本次展览的主题——“思想是艺术的载体”，是刘水石学术思想的核心组成部分，“艺术只归艺术，艺术品和艺术形式闪烁在流变的思想中，艺术在思想之外的时空中。”
从先秦到当代，从苏格拉底到萨特，艺术从来都是思想的载体，此次刘水石先生的“思想是艺术的载体”是在对人类全部哲学史与艺术史的理性思考与追问的基础上的一次新的发现。从香港浸会大学到法兰克福再到纽约，此次展览是刘水石先生关于追问当代艺术的观念性的一次里程碑式总结。
2012年，刘水石先生的作品“090816060”被中国人民外交学会收藏。
2012年 中国人民外交学会选取作品“存在（080720136）”、“超然”、“妖娆”、“雕塑的诞生”制作成版画，作为国礼赠送给各国政要和商界领袖。
2014年刘水石先生的作品“存在” 被美国前国务卿基辛格先生收藏，并得到基辛格先生的高度评价。
Liu Shuishi - an artist of Independent thinking, and an art of pure reason and sensibility.
Liu Shuishi (was born in 1962, graduated from Xi’an Academy of Fine Art).
As the theme of this exhibition - “Thinking As Art Media” has indicated, thought and idea are the core value of Liu Shuishi’s art. “ Art is only for art, artworks and art forms flashes in the transformation of idea, however, art exists beyond the space and time of idea.”
From The pre-Qin period to the contemporary; from Socrates to Sartre, art has always connected to the evolution of idea and concept. The works from this exhibition are the reflection of Liu Shuishi ’s life-long inquiry and exploration upon the history of philosophy and art. Through the trajectory of his exhibitions which started from Baptist University of Hong kong to Frankfurt to New York, this show in Today Art Museum could be regarded as the milestone of Liu Shuishi’s recent art creation.

2012 The works “ Existence” , “ Transcend “, “The Birth of Sculpture” were selected by Chinese Association of Foreign Affairs to make limited copy as state present to give to foreign political and business leaders.
2014 The work “ Existence” were collected by former State Secretary of USA, Mr Henry Kissinger
