高中优秀英语作文：Missing My Grandfather

It has been a long time since mygrandfather left me, but his smile is still clear to me.

祖父去世已经很久了，但他的音容笑貌宛如眼前。

It was 6 years ago that grandfather passedaway because of a serious disease. Only then did I realize how important mygrandfather was to me.

6年前祖父因病故世。那时我才意识到祖父对我有多重要。

I lived with my grandfather until he died.In my memory, I felt much happier than any other child. I still remember when Igot the first place, my grandfather would take me to the restaurant in town tohave a feast or buy me a gift. I was so happy when I stayed with him.

我和祖父一起生活，直到他去世。记忆中，我比其他孩子更快乐。记得有一回我得了第一名，祖父带我到镇上的餐馆美餐一顿，还给我买了礼物。和祖父在一起的日子总是很快乐。

When my school held parents’ meetings, itwas my grandfather who attended them every time. I always saw smiles on hisface when he heard my teacher praise me. I knew my grandfather was proud of me.

每逢学校召开家长会，都是祖父出席。当他听到老师夸我时，我总是看到他笑容满面。我知道祖父以我为荣。

He never criticized me even if I causedsome trouble. When I was sad, he would give me lots of help and told me somestories to educate me. Though he was dead, I always dream about him. In adream, we walked along the street, and I held his hand and said “Grandpa, tellme a story.” Then, he touched my head gently and told me an inspiring story. 

即使我有时调皮捣蛋，他也从来不骂我。当我难过时，他会积极帮助我，还给我讲故事来教育我。尽管他去世了，我却总是梦到他。在梦里，我们沿着街道散步，我拉着他的手说，“爷爷，给我讲个故事吧。”他摸摸我的脑袋，娓娓道来。  

I love my grandfather and I miss him verymuch. No matter how old I am, I know it’s my grandfather who gave me a lot ofhelp in my life.

我爱祖父，也很想念他。不管我多大了，我都记得祖父曾经给了我多么大的帮助。
