并列连词
（1）并列连词and
① 可以连接两个相关的词或短语，多用于肯定句中
Read it slowly and clearly.
Proper diet and exercise are important to health. He plays the guitar and sings folk songs.
② 用于表示两个动作相继发生（一个接着另一个）
Go and find your brother.
Sit down and tell me all about it.
She picked up the kitten and put it in the box.
③ and 可以连接两个句子，常用来表示顺承、并列、条件等
She is a teacher and her husband is a doctor. Work hard and you will succeed.
（2）表示转折的并列连词 but, yet
but和yet 是表示转折关系的并列连词，表示“但是”。它连接两个含义不同的甚至是反义句子。 It's an old car, but it's very reliable.
They rushed to the hospital, but they were too late.
We've invited the boss, but she may decide not to come.
I'd like to go but I'm too busy.
It's a small car, yet there is a lot of room inside.
He has a good job, yet he doesn't have any money.
（3）表示因果的并列连词 so
so 是表示因果关系的并列连词，表示“所以，因此，于是”，其后常跟事情的结果。
The child had a bad cough, so his mother took him to the doctor.
（4）并列连词or
①表示 “或者”， 一般连接两个词或短语。
He never smokes or drinks. Would you like some tea or coffee?
②表示 “否则”，一般连接两个句子。
Put on your overcoat, or you will catch a cold.
Hurry up, or we'll be late for the meeting.
