Hi I agree with most of the things you said. Even Indians have to answer a lot of stupid questions but isn't it nice that you get a chance to know people around the globe, their view points, their take on politics and many other things.
We all know that the main stream media isn't a reliable source to know the sentiments of citizens of different countries. Sticking to our country’s media or platforms will make the governments mould our likings and preferences the way they want and we will never be able to see the bigger picture.
Why they ask questions such as Do China or India have toilets?
Obviously because the media didn't represent our countries in a right way. So I guess Quora is a perfect platform to get rid of these misconceptions. During my stay in China a girl asked me “ I have heard horses run faster than cars on Indian Highways. Is it true?”
How lame is that?
I just wanna say not everyone of us get a chance to have a good conversation with people from different countries & cultures. That's what Quora does for me.
If people could understand Chinese they would have used the app that you have mentioned to know more about you but unfortunately English has already become the International Language.
Also if you want to learn rocket science then everyone knows there are lot other better places than Quora.
