Digital Technology International, (DTI?), announced today that the Sun-Times Media Group is now live with the first of three phases implementing DTI ContentPublisher in DTI Cloud, the company's SaaS offering.
This phase includes five dailies and 11 weeklies in the Sun-Times Media's west region of Chicago.
This marks the largest media organization to deploy its editorial software in a cloud computing environment. The project covers over 50 publications and 60 websites.
Having DTI ContentPublisher in DTI Cloud powers Sun-Times Media's Web-first content strategy to integrate their workflow; allowing them to share resources and multimedia content throughout their entire group. The project facilitates better coordination of their Web and print processes, and the flexibility to access their media information from anywhere, and any time. DTI Cloud ensures that Sun-Times Media will always have the latest version of the DTI ContentPublisher software.
The completion of Phase One has established the foundation for the redesign of each of their 60 websites.
"The scope of the project is a major industry milestone and the speed of implementation was remarkable. The contract was signed in spring and we had our first group of newspapers live by September. Sun-Times Media selected DTI Cloud for its secure highly redundant data center, abundant bandwidth and the highest level of network availability in the industry.
All three phases of the project will be completed in early 2011.
