俄罗斯首都莫斯科有一个著名的广场，就像北京的天安门广场一样有名。It‘s Red Square. Tiananmen Square is the centre of Beijing and Red Square is the centre of Moscow.But Red Square is not actually red.铺在红场上的砖根本就不是红色的。
Then why is it called RED Square?原来俄语里“红色”一词还有“美丽的”
意思。So “Red Square” means a beautiful square.
我们知道，天安门广场的北边是故宫。Beside Red Square there is a palace, too.
那就是原来的俄罗斯沙皇住的克里姆林宫。
Now, it is the offices for the Russian Government.
A high bell tower stands in the palace.There is a shining red star on the top of the tower.
据说这颗星是用了好几吨红宝石才制成的呢！
