With a profound cultural perspective, this exhibition hall is the largest and best of its kind in the Yangtze River delta area. On display are all sorts of traditional faming production tools and household utensils that were prevalent in this water-borne region. Using sound, light and electrical means, the hall vividly depicts the life and customs in Jiangnan, that is, the lower reaches of the Yangtse. Part of the exhibition focuses on the local custom of Jiangxiang Village, with and interesting theme display of “a hundred chairs, a hundred stools, and a hundred receptacles”. Steeped in tradition and local flavour, the exhibition is a great attraction to visitors.
