全球航空业预计2024年才能恢复

日前,西门子医疗宣布同意以现金方式收购瓦里安医疗系统公司,该交易对瓦里安的估值约为164亿美元,比其当前市值高出20%以上。

西门子医疗是全球医疗影像行业中三巨头之一。而瓦里安是全球肿瘤放疗领域龙头企业,该公司在全球安装有8000多套放射治疗系统,占据全球超过50%的放疗市场份额。分析人士指出,此次收购意味着西门子医疗将进军肿瘤放疗市场,双方将在影像诊断、体外诊断和介入治疗等领域实现强强联合,成为医疗健康领域新航母。

此外,2020年是西门子医疗步入“西门子医疗2025战略”的“升级”阶段,公司将向具有更高附加值的领域拓展。西门子医疗全球首席执行官贝恩德·蒙塔格表示,此次收购不仅推动公司抗癌业务的飞跃,也提升了公司在医疗健康行业的整体影响力。

Global Air Travel Won't Recover Till 2024


据外媒报道,国际航空运输协会近日宣布,全球航空业要到2024年才能从新冠肺炎危机中恢复。

Global air travel won't recover from the Covid-19 crisis until 2024, the International Air Transport Association (IATA) announced recently.

该机构将航空业复苏乏力归咎于一系列因素,包括消费者信心不足、商务旅行减少以及美国和其他地区新冠病例激增。该机构代表290家航空公司。

The body, which represents 290 airlines, blamed the sluggish recovery on a number of factors, including a lack of consumer confidence, the decline in business travel, and fresh coronavirus spikes in the United States and elsewhere.

根据该机构的预测,明年航空客运量将增长62%,但仍比疫情之前下降约30%,要恢复到疫情前的水平,预计需要四年时间。

Passenger numbers are expected to rise 62% next year, but will still be down almost 30% compared to pre-Covid times, with a full recovery to pre-pandemic levels not on the cards until four years from now.

“客运量在4月份触底,但回暖力度疲弱。”该机构理事长兼首席执行官亚历山大·德朱尼亚克在一份声明中表示,“我们看到的改善来自国内航空。”

'Passenger traffic hit bottom in April, but the strength of the upturn has been very weak,' said Alexandre de Juniac, IATA's director general and CEO in a statement. 'What improvement we have seen has been domestic flying.'

在各国国内客运量方面,中国航空公司引领复苏,6月份客运量同比下降35.5%,低于5月份46.3%的降幅。

In terms of countries' domestic traffic, China's airlines are leading the recovery, with traffic down 35.5% in June compared to the 2019 period, up from a 46.3% decline in May.

据外媒报道,英国皇家特许测量师学会最新商业地产调查发现,几乎所有成员(93%)都认为企业将在未来两年内缩减办公面积。

The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors' latest commercial property survey found almost all members - 93% - saw businesses scaling back their office space in the next two years.

报告称,企业从城市中心搬离可能会引发向社区的转移。

It said a move away from urban hubs could prompt a shift to neighbourhoods.

该机构的调查发现,多数成员预计零售和写字楼租金今年将进一步下跌。

RICS found most members expect retail and office rents to fall further this year.

Hew Edgar, head of UK government relations for RICS, warned of a 'polo mint' effect - a hollowing out of city centres.

Of all things, it could be streetlights that make urban traffic safer and provide automated vehicles with an overview of the traffic situation. This was the subject of the MEC-View research project.

The project required streetlights to be fitted with video and lidar sensors, which then used advanced cellular technology to provide vehicles with critical information in real time, allowing them to detect obstacles – whether other cars, bicycles, or pedestrians – quickly and reliably.

The insights gained in the project will now be used to further develop automotive technology, automated driving, and cellular technology. In addition, the infrastructure the project has built up will now be available for further research projects to use.

The videos included their gaming setup and descriptions of their pain points, including what they find most frustrating or annoying about their gaming experiences.

Intel’s team will bring together engineers and architects to explore insights and discover what’s possible, what’s an easier adjustment and what Intel has the opportunity to really go after to make gaming more accessible and inclusive.

One of the biggest conclusions the researchers reached was that gamers with disabilities are not much different than able-bodied players.
