阴沉木是乌木么？

阴沉木即乌木同事具备木的古雅和石的神韵，有“东方神木”和“植物木乃伊”之称。由地震、洪水、泥石流将地上植物生物等全部埋入古河床等低洼处，埋入淤泥中的部分树木。在缺氧、高压状态下，细菌等微生物的作用下，经长达上千万年炭化过程形成乌木，故又称“炭化木”。历代都把乌木用作辟邪之物，制作的工艺品、佛像、护身符挂件。古人云:“家有乌木半方，胜过财宝一箱”。

在古代，达官显贵、文人雅士皆把阴沉木家具及出自阴沉木雕刻的艺术品视为传家、镇宅之宝，辟邪之物。历代以来，特别是明、清时期，阴沉木尤其成为各代帝王建筑宫殿和制作棺木的首选之材。清代帝王更将其列为皇室专用之材，民间不可私自采用，致使阴沉木更加稀少。民国时的窃国大盗袁世凯，逆历史潮流而动，“皇帝梦”没做多久就一命呜呼。但为了显示曾有过帝王身份，其家人费尽心思，耗费大量家财觅得阴沉木，为其拼了一副棺木。这虽是历史笑谈，但从中也看出了阴沉木的贵在难求。
