高考作文之图表描述：5个句式，3个技巧（附直播视频）

1.为什么要讲图表描述类？

考试说明中说：图表、图画、提纲、信函、短文是考试中的情景形式。目前除了图表描述没有考过，其它都考过了。虽然图表考到的可能性不大，但作为平时练习还是有必要涉及的，以防万一。

2.图表描述要注意两点：

一、5个句式

1.主语 accounted for 百分数 of

Students made up nearly 20% of the group

Males accounted for 10% of the whole workforce. 

2. 主语（The number of…) 谓（increased / decreased) from…to…

3. There be句型

There was a sharp increase in computer use between …and…

4.倍数表达

The output of 1990 was 3.5 times that of 1980.

Between these years X almost doubled, rising from 2000 to 3900.

5.比较表达

Compared with…

…while…

二、3个技巧

1.找极值

2.找相似

3.找倍数

解释：

分析图表时，先看两个最大、最小值。然后看最大值和其它数据能否形成倍数，最好还是两倍的。如此就形成：The number / rate of…reaches…, which doubles …

如果数据项目比较多，看剩下的相似部分，能否归到一起。

比较两个反差比较大的数据时，可以用by contrast, compared with…, while

数据描述后，不要忘记来个总结。

1.多个数据项目的比较

1. According to chart 1, it can be seen clearly that the students of the school spend different amounts of time on each after-class activity. Just because study comes first in the students’ eye, 93 minutes is spent on their homework, which is more than twice the amount of time on TV. To our surprise, they spare only 12 minutes for housework. In their spare time, they put most of their time in enjoying music, working on the computer and sports, of which the first takes up 34 minutes, the second 30 minutes, and the last 25 minutes. 

2. Chart 1 shows the daily average amount of time the students of the school spend on different after-class activities. The students put the most time－93 minutes－into their homework, and next in line is watching TV, which takes up 46 minutes. They put in about the same amount of time listening to music and working on the computer, 34 minutes and 30 minutes each. While 25 minutes is spent on sports, only 12 minutes goes into housework. 

3. According to the chart, the rate of those who put his personal virtue and qualities in the first place takes up 45 percent, almost doubles that of those who think highly of his scientific achievements. About 35 percent of people hold that his patriotism in the hardest times is most precious and sets a good example for all the Chinese for ever.

2. 单个数据项目的变化：

4. As is shown in the chart, the rate of students who owned QQs increased from 2004 to 2007. Back in 2004, only 20% of them had QQs; one year later, the rate became twice larger; compared with about 50% in 2006, the rate in 2007 rose to 60%. Clearly, it is tending to increase.
