卡洛斯·纳达尔（CARLOS NADAL）于1917年4月24日出生于法国巴黎，1921年移居西班牙巴塞罗那。
他的父亲圣地亚哥(死于1932年)有一个商业设计工作室，卡洛斯在那里不仅学会了绘画，还结识了现代艺术家，包括亨利·马蒂斯，拉乌尔·杜菲和莫里斯·乌特里罗。
除了接受来自父亲生意的非正式教育，他还曾就读于巴塞罗那的工艺美术学院和圣乔治高级美术学院。
他应征加入西班牙共和军(Spanish Republican Army)，参加了西班牙内战(Spanish Civil War)，包括被监禁和从一个集中营越狱，最终回来继续学习艺术，并在1942年举办了他的第一次个展。
1948年12月1日，他与比利时雕塑家弗洛雷·奥古斯塔·佐伊·乔里斯(于1988年4月30日去世)结婚，并于1949年随她移居布鲁塞尔。他们在1955年有了女儿玛丽娜(Marina)，在1957年有了儿子亚历山大(Alexandre)。在接下来的几年里，他们在布鲁塞尔和巴塞罗那之间迁徙。
卡洛斯·纳达尔于1998年6月6日在西班牙巴塞罗那去世。
