Mason's （马森）是英国最杰出的瓷器品牌之一，由Miles Mason于1796年创立。在其众多作品中，最具有代表性的是伊万里风格，蓝色、砖红色、镀金、绿色是其标志性色谱。
品牌背景
18世纪末在法国大革命的背景下，荷兰东印度公司的瓷器进口贸易受损，东方瓷器紧缺，这给英国本土的瓷器生产提供了绝佳的条件。
Miles Mason在接手了岳父的瓷器经销生意后，于1796年联合当时著名的瓷器制造商Thomas Wolfe一同开发东方风格的瓷器。当他的瓷器以高品质问世后加之营销上的经验，很快便获得成功。
专利技术
Mason家族中最核心的人物是其小儿子Charles Mason, 他是一位年轻且富有创造力的瓷器大师，他协助了工厂的粘土实验，成功烧制出铁矿石瓷器并注册了专利“Patent Ironstone China”。
铁矿石瓷器
最大的创新是在粘土中加入一定比例的铁矿石渣、康沃尔石、以及钴的蓝色氧化物，使得瓷器的色泽略带浅灰并混有其它颜色的星星点点，呈现出陶的古朴气质，同时使瓷的质地坚硬，如铁器一般耐磨。
此后，很多品牌都相继开发了铁矿石瓷器，而Mason’s（马森）作为创造者拥有其专利。今天当人们讨论铁矿石瓷器这个门类时，总是将Charles Mason的名字与之相提并论。
