Abstract：Objective: To determine the suitable planting regions of Bupleurum. Methods: Literature review and GIS positioning analysis, TCMGIS-I system of numerical analysis and field validation methods were combining together. Results: Bupleurum was suitable for planting in North China, eastern part of Northwest China, southern part of Northeast China, the most suitable planting areas were mainly concentrated in central and southern part of Hebei, Beijing and Tianjin, central and southern part of Shanxi, northwestern part of Henan, Shaanxi and southeast part of Gansu. Conclusion: The theoretical analysis and field verification for suitable planting areas of Bupleurum show the similar results, and this result provide a scientific basis for the suitable planting regions of Bupleurum.
