All his writings (aphorisms) are contained in one book: Voices (the following quotations are from W.S. Merwins 1988 translation of this work).
According to Merwin, Porchia claimed that his aphorisms were not his own but "emanations which he has heard and set down."
Roberto Juarroz, another writer from Argentina and a close friend of Porchias, wrote: "I do not remember another being who was so simple and so graceful....When we were with him we heard each word deepen under his boundless attention. His way of listening seemed to create a depth in his companions. Because hope is tomorrow and flowers have no tomorrow. 我最早知道波契亚是通过德国诗人布加特，安东尼奥·波契亚是阿根廷作家，出生在意大利南部的卡拉布里亚，自幼丧父，15岁时母亲带着他和另外五个兄弟姐妹移居阿根廷，而他的长兄则永远留在了意大利。为了帮助养活全家，他拼命在港口和印刷厂工作，几乎是从日常生活的经验和观察中，本能地出现了跳跃的词语、格言，最终形成了一行行的文字。《遗忘的声音》是波契亚仅有的一部文学著作，这部小册子的法文版在巴黎出版以后，受到了勒内·夏尔、安德烈·布勒东和阿瑟·米勒等人的热烈赞扬。波契亚从日常生活中提炼出了诗性的智慧，他被认为是少数几个拥有禅宗思想和东方哲学的西方作家之一，并因此受到人们的推崇。
