款识：奇峰。
鈐印：「高嵡之鈢」。
高奇峰(1889--1933)，"岭南派"创始者"三杰"之一。少年时隨居氏及其父兄习画，后东渡日本，对京都画派中名家的技艺有极深入的研究。他把传统的笔墨功夫，以及"撞水""撞粉"等花卉画中的特殊技巧，运用於飞禽走兽和山水，达到形体逼真而又生气勃勃的效果，构成了雄伟兼秀美的独特风格,书法用笔老辣，功底深厚，自成一体，颇具影响。
本幅亦属张坤仪一九三九年携赴美国之重要岭南派作品之一。画上未署年，惟按早於一九三年已在港沪两地之杂誌刊登，可推知应属当年初所写。
