英语写作 | 连接词第三波-因果类连接词还包含了表条件类的连接词？！

除了Additive transition words（补充/添加信息）、Adversative transition words（对立转折类）的连接词，还有一类表达因果关系（Cause和Effect）的连接词，即Causal transition words。这类词可以用来表达目的、结果和条件。

由此，Causal transtition words因果类连接词可分为三类。

Consequence类连接词

Consequence类连接词（组），用于表达一个事件或情况导致另一个事件或情况发生的关系，强调原因和结果之间的因果关系。这类连接词（又叫过渡词）可以帮助读者理解一个事件或行动的直接后果。

Consequence类连接词（组）

Therefore, because (of x), as a result (of x), for this reason, in view of x, as, owing to x, due to (the fact that), since, consequently, in consequence, as a consequence, hence, thus, so (that)等

Example:

1. I studied hard for the exam. Therefore, I passed with flying colors.

我为考试努力学习。因此，我顺利通过了。

（Therefore用来引入结果。）

2. The weather forecast indicates that it will rain tomorrow. In view of this, I have decided to bring an umbrella in advance.

天气预报说明天会下雨。鉴于此，我决定提前带上雨伞。

Condition类连接词

Condition类连接词（组），用于表达一个事件或情况在满足某种条件时会发生的关系。这类因果关系连接词中的条件类连接词，是在因果关系中表达特定条件的过渡词。这类词可表达事件或情况在满足某种条件时会发生的关系。

Condition类连接词（组）

(Even/only) if/when, on (the) condition that, in the case that, granted (that), provided/providing that, in case等

Example:

1. I will attend the meeting only if I finish my work on time.

因为只有按时完成了工作，我才会参加会议。

（only if用来表示一个特定的条件，即只有在按时完成工作的情况下，我才会参加会议。这个连接词表达了一个严格的条件关系，强调在满足特定条件时才会发生某个事件。它暗示了一个限制性的条件和要求。）

2. Granted that it is a simple test to perform, it should be easy to get results quickly. 

因为这化验做起来简单，所以应该不难很快得出结果。

（granted that用于表示在某个条件成立的情况下，后面的陈述或行为是有效的或有合理性的。它强调了条件的前提和构建了条件下的推理或论证。）

Purpose类连接词

Purpose类的连接词（组），用于表达一个事件或行动的目的或意图。这类连接词揭示了某个行为或决策是为了实现特定目标或结果而采取的。

Purpose类连接词（组）

To, in order to/that, for the purpose of, in the hope that, so that等

Example：

1. I'm sorry to hear that. 

我听到这消息很难过。

2. He studied hard to pass the exam.

他努力学习是为了通过考试。

（这里的to是表示的是一种原因。）

3. He studied hard so that he could get into a top university. 

他努力学习是为了进入一所顶尖大学。

4. She saved money so that she could buy a new car. 

她存钱是为了买一辆新车。

（这里的so that用来描述采取某个行动的目的，为了实现某个特定的目标而采取了相应的行动。这种结构强调了行动和目的之间的因果关系。）

关于Causal transtition words的分享就是这些。

最后是Sequential transition words（顺序过渡词/连接词）。
