Good morning, my dear teachers and schoolmates.

It's a great honor for me to make a speech on behalf of the graduating classes. How time flies! Our junior high school lives will come to an end. In the past three years, we've had a beautiful school and it has provided us with a good study place. Teachers are our friends. They've given us interesting lessons and we all love them. We've learned a lot from them, not only knowledge but also the way to solve problems in life. Thanks to our teachers' training, parents' support and the help from classmates. Without them, we couldn't have had such a wonderful time. Lastly, we hope our school becomes even better, our teachers to have happy healthy lives and for all of our dreams to come true.

STEP 2 学习文中出现的易错词组+亮点表达

1. on behalf of. ＝in the person of.  代表,为了,代表某人,以某人名义

e.g. On behalf of my husband and myself I thank you. 

     我代表我的丈夫和我本人向您表示感谢。

2. the graduating classes  (名词词组 n phrase.). 应届毕业班级

   the graduating classes这个名词词组通过-ing巧妙体现出“该班级即将毕业”，英文可以通过变化动词的形态体现出时间特征，而同时graduating还是一个定语，用来限定classes的性质，“不是普通的班级，而是应届毕业的班级”

   graduate  n.毕业生/v. 毕业

e.g. When the boys graduated from high school, Ann moved to a small town in Vermont. 
     男孩们中学毕业后安迁到了佛蒙特州的一座小镇。

留一个小问题：graduate是及物动词（vt.）还是不及物动词（vi.）？请在留言区给出你的答案~

3. in the past three years 是完成时的时间标志词，注意到后面的谓语成分（划线部分）都用了现在完成时，表示动作发起于过去，持续到当前，而即将停止。

4.Without them, we couldn't have had such a wonderful time. 

虚拟语气，“（如果）没有这些人，我们的生活就不会如此精彩。”

完整句型是：If it were without..., we couldn't have....

5. the way to solve probelms 能够解决问题的方式

    our dream to come true 能够实现的梦想

    两个名词成分的逻辑都是主谓逻辑，the way solves problems/our dream come true。to所引导的成分是后置定语，用来修饰限定前面的名词way、dream。
