Pebbles in the Sand classes celebrates International Women's Day every year. This year they decided to have their celebration in one of their downtown locations
The night before the event, everyone was busy cooking and getting themselves ready. They took out their precious traditional dresses from the bottom of their dressers and tried them on. Perfect! they still fit and are just as beautiful. They cooked their most delicious food and put it in the fridge. Before going to bed, they even checked the weather forecast, it said light snow for tomorrow, luckily, it was not raining.
Next morning, when everyone got in the classroom, they started to make their way downtown. Slowly they walked to the C-Train station because it was snowing and the roads were a bit slippery. By the time when they arrived at downtown station, the snow had stopped. They then walked from the station to Knox church where their celebration party was.
"Hi, How are you?" "So glad to see you again." They hugged and hugged. Then, they sat at the table and started playing games, they played card games, bingo games and other board games. They also colored beautiful women pictures and decorated the room with them . Later, it was potluck time. they warmed up the food in the microwave and placed the plates and forks nicely on the table. All of them helped arranging food on the big long table. Look at the colorful food from all over the world! it made their mouths watering. In the afternoon, they sang and danced, they took pictures with friends and teachers and also eagerly showed each other their favourite pictures from their cell phones.
At 4:00 p.m., It was time to say goodbye and start making their way home. After cleaning up the tables and floor, they shook hands and hugged each other one more time. They couldn't wait for their next year's celebration!
