***今天读了一篇同行写的提请司法协助的Letter of Request，摘录了几个老生常谈的词。

Defendant respectfully moves for the issuance by the Court of a Letter of Request in the form attached hereto as Exhibit A, addressed to the appropriate Central Authority in China. 

1. move for：提议、申请

2. in the form attached hereto as Exhibit A: 以本协议附件A的形式

This motion is made pursuant to, and in conformity with, The Hague Convention, which is in force between the United States and China.

3. In conformity with: 与……一致

4. in force：有效力

This case concerns a Development, Manufacturing, Supply and Commercialization Agreement. Under the Agreement, Defendant agreed to manufacture and/or supply certain generic injectable antibiotics, specifically defined in the agreement as “Products.”

6. under the agreement: 根据协议约定（*根据的同义词包括了pursuant to，in accordance with，according to等，但是under个人理解一般与协议连用的比较多）

7. specifically defined in the agreement as “Products.”:在协议中定义为“产品”。（*与上文in the form attached hereto as Exhibit A的用法类似）

Thegrounds for this motion are set forthin the Letter of Request submitted herewith as Exhibit A.

9. set forth：陈述、阐明（一般在法律文件中用的比较多）

In short, discovery regarding xxx’s relationship with xxx as an alternative supply source for the Products covered by the Agreement.

10. regarding: 关于,有时候邮件中简写为re. （*同义词还包括in connection with, with respect to, related to等 ）
