根据周三更新的印度卫生部数据，印度新增1,8313 例冠状病毒感染病例，印度的新冠病例总数上升至 4,39,38,764 例。
在过去的 24 小时内，死亡人数攀升至 5,26,110 人，新增死亡人数为 57 人。病死率为 1.2%。
数据显示，从疾病中康复的人数已上升至 4,32,67,571 人。
根据印度卫生部的数据，该国活跃的新冠病例已降至 1,45,026 例。
印度卫生部表示，活跃病例占总感染的 0.34%，而全国的康复率记录为 98.47%。
在过去 24 小时内，活跃的新冠病例数量减少了 2,486 例。
数据显示，每日阳性率为 4.31%，每周阳性率为 4.57%。

The Supreme Court on Wednesday upheld the validity of various provisions of Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). The top court said that stringent conditions for bail under the Act is legal and not arbitrary. It passed order on around 250 petitions filed by various accused.
The court said that it is not mandatory for ED officers to disclose the ground of arrest at the time of detaining an accused in money laundering case.
The Supreme Court also said the Enforcement Case Information Report(ECIR) cannot be equated with FIR and ECIR is an internal document of Enforcement Directorate. Supply of ECIR to accused is not mandatory and only disclosure of reasons during arrest is enough, said SC. TOI

The 7.3 magnitude quake was centered around Abra province in a mountainous area and several aftershocks have followed, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said.

The forecast is sharply lower than IMF's previous estimate of 8.2% for FY23. However, it is marginally higher than Reserve Bank of India's (RBI) latest estimate of 7.2% growth rate for FY23. TOI

NEW DELHI: Almost all flights of Lufthansa supposed to operate to and from Frankfurt and Munich on Wednesday (July 27) have been cancelled due to a strike by group staff union ver.di.
Five Lufthansa flights scheduled to operate from these two hubs on Wednesday to Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Chennai have been cancelled. The return flights these aircraft were to operate have also been cancelled.
Moreover flights that took off from these two German hubs for India and other destinations on Tuesday will now take off on Thursday — and not Wednesday as scheduled — when the strike is over.
So the impact of the one-day strike will continue till almost Friday. Passengers affected by cancellations will be informed immediately today and rebooked on alternative flights if possible. However, the capacities available for this are very limited, the airline says.

At least 28 people have died and 60 others became ill from drinking tainted liquor in western India, officials said Tuesday.
Senior government official Mukesh Parmar said the deaths occurred in Ahmedabad and Botad districts of Gujarat state, where manufacturing, sale and consumption of liquor are prohibited. It was not immediately known what chemical was used to alter the liquor.
Deaths from illegally brewed alcohol are common in India, where illicit liquor is cheap and often spiked with chemicals such as pesticides to increase potency. cbc
