Attention:

   0.  The public transport ticket in Germany usually with time and boundary limit, but under these dimensions you can take all kinds of transportations

  1. S-Bahn(Schnellbahn)and Straßenbahn are not easy to distinguish but they are not the same,Pay attention of the semesterticket which type of transportation is allowed or may be punished with 60 Euro because of missunderstanding!

  2. There is basically no turnstile in public transport in Germany, but you must buy a ticket and punch (Validierung) at the ticket machine. If you use a ticket without a punch, you can use it as a fare evasion. The penalty is 60 Euro. Pay attention to the range of use of the ticket. Under the circumstances, it is not allowed to exceed the range. I remember that the ticket inspectors of the S-Bahn München are very unfriendly. If they find out that they are beyond the scope, they will be treated as evasive tickets, so they should pay more attention to public transport in Munich.

  3. If you feel that the toilet at the train station is too expensive, you can "borrow" the toilets on RERB trains at this station (ICs such as Leipzig, Dresden, Frankfurt am Main, Munich, etc., EC or ICE trains) to solve the problem, but pay attention to the opening of the train should be at least 4 minutes from the time you start to solve the problem, because you must be sure to leave the train before the train leaves, otherwise the train will start and you will be seen as evasion ticket.

  4. After booking a discount card (Bahncard) on the German railway, you must send an email to the German railway Bahncard customer service.

Bahncard-service@bahn.de send an E-mail to cancel, otherwise it may be automatically rebooked. The ticket booked with the Bahncard should be set in the booking option to select the type of concession card you ordered, in the train ticket of Fernverkehr. There is the word "XX (city name) + City", which proves that you are free to take all public transportation in this city, but there are time and regional restrictions, see the webpage of German Railway.

  5. German railways are often late and many are late for more than half an hour. So you should give more time for that when plan for travel.

  6. Drinking alchohl is usually prohibited on trains in northern Germany.

  7. In some mountains, there are fewer people on the train. In order to save energy, the Deutsche Bahn will separate the two cars in different directions in one place (Zugteilung), pay attention to whether the word is displayed on the display, if you can’t understand the display, ask a German with English.

  8. 21.04.2018 Wolfsburg Main Station

8.When you see the word "Zugdurchfahrt" on the display, keep away from the platform in order to keep your life safe.

    9. In Germany, you can only buy a second-class seat in the second-class seat. You can't sit in the first-class seat. also when seat there is available.

    10. German ticket inspectors do not have the right to detain and deport foreigners. In case of intimidation you can call the police.  Neither the ticket inspector cannot directly charge a fine, nor can he only charge a fine without issuing a ticket or receipt. If necessary, you can ask the ticket inspector to produce a work certificate. If he does not produce a work permit, you can refuse to pay the fine.

    11. German Railway's train reservation system and the train ticket system are separate. The trainseat can be reserved without a reservation. If you want to change another train, it is not enough to change only the seat reservation. For example, if you use Sparpreis to buy a train ticket for ICE888 is also the same as the train reservation, but later you corract the seat reservation for the ICE999 without spending money to by a vaild ICE 999 train ticket, but the train ticket is still ICE888, so that is also evasion of ticket, unless you buy again. A train ticket for ICE999.

    12. If you need to sign a ticket for the purchase of a state ticket, the ticket for the multi-person ticket must also be signed on the ticket and ticket at the ticket machine. Otherwise, it may be invalid.

13.If you have no valid ticket for train (Fahrkarte or Fahrschein) then you should buy platform ticket (Bahnsteigkarte) on the platform at subway (U-Bahn) and light rail station (S-Bahn) in Munich and Hamburg . Otherwise, the penalty is 60 euros. The ticket needs to be punched and an hours is valid.

    14.German railways station categories 1.

New words:

Mature,Sleeping car,among,Pantograph,Overhead line,Wolf in sheep's clothing,Monorail,turnstile,punch,evasive,detain,deport,intimidation
