”国饮“可以用”national beverage“或”national drink“。
”茶为国饮，杭为茶都“可以理解为是一句古话，或者民间谚语，为了句子的衔接或更加让人容易理解，可以插入下列句子。

主从句要分清：
主句：杭州是极好的茶叶产区。
从句：襟山带湖、丘陵密布、土壤肥沃，三个并列短语，不用一一翻译。
”襟“是古字，作动词，像衣襟一样作为屏障。
”襟山“和”丘陵“在一定程度上是重复了。两者都是表示山的意思，而且在杭州，山都是较为矮小的山、山丘，所以在用到的表示”山“的单词中有”mountain“、”hill“。
”mountain“表示的是高大的山，而”hill“表示矮小的山。所以翻译是需要根据语境、地域选择合适的单词。
我在翻译”襟山带湖“的时候，查过网络的资料，”襟山带湖“表示像衣襟一样作为屏障。但是当我用英文的思维翻译时，我找不出合理的翻译方式，就是我很难去理解”像衣襟一样“。所以我换了一个思维方式，我用了”山湖错综复杂地分布在西湖周围 staggered mountains and lakes“。
”像衣襟一样作为屏障“表示的是有顺序的排列，使其形成一道屏障，那么”襟山“强调了山的分布是由顺序的，而我的翻译则属于更换了原文的意思，词不达意，也是犯了翻译错误。
”极好“就表示，这个茶叶产区技术能力高超，历史悠久。在翻译时，可以用”excellent “，”极“可以通过程度副词加深语气，如”extremely“。
译文：The city is an excellent tea producer with hills and lakes and fertile land.
（3）西湖群山自东晋以来就植茶树，
注意时态。”自东晋以来“这句给出了明确的时间线。时态应该要用过去时。
整句需要明确主语，如果想要用”茶树“做主语，那么语态需要注意，要用被动语态。
如果想要用”西湖群山“做主语，那么我们需要明确”植茶树“这个动作的实施者，那必须是人才能执行。
我在翻译的时候，忽略了这个问题，直接用”西湖群山“做了主语，没有考虑到逻辑关系，使文章出现明显的低级错误。
在翻译朝代时，为了使第二语言的读者更能理解译文，通常是需要加上朝代的时间。the Eastern Jin Dynasty (317-420)
译文：Tea began to be planted in the Eastern Jin Dynasty (317-420) on the hills around West Lake.
（4）到了清代，龙井茶的采摘和加工基本己定型，被列为贡品。
龙井茶，不能直接直译，要明白龙井茶本身的含义。正确的译法：Dragon Well （Longjing ) Green Tea；Dragon Well Green Tea。
定型：事物的基本要素逐步形成并相对固定下来
成熟：发展到完善的程度
Mature: having reached a final or desired state
贡品：即古时官吏、人民或属国进贡给帝王的物品，是地方臣服于中央统治者，或者属国臣服于宗主国的表示。
大多数人会下意识地把贡品翻译成“royal tribute”，但是最为恰当的翻译是“ imperial tribute.”而”royal tribute“是指皇家的贡品。原文的贡品指的是地方进贡给中央的物品。要做好的区分。
