英语语法：短语be applicable to，be amazed at等

上几期我们学习了英语语法：形容词短语be acclimated to, be accomplished in等、形容词短语be adapted to, be addicted to等

形容词短语是指由几个形容词或形容词及其修饰语构的短语，通常在句中作定语或者表语。

37. be applicable to适用于

用法：be applicable to表示“适用的”，其主语一般是物。

例句：The wise teachings of ancient Greek thinkers are timeless,and are applicable to contemporary life. (2016年6月四级)

古希望思想家的明智学说是永恒的，而且适用于当代生活。

语法点：该例句用的是现在一般时态，现在一般时用来表示现在发生的动作或存在的状态，句子中的谓语动词要现在式。句中的系动词are是现在式。

结构分析：The wise teachings of ancient Greek thinkers是主语， are是系动词， timeless是形容词作表语, and用于连接两个句子， are applicable to是谓语，其主语是The wise teachings of ancient Greek thinkers, contemporary life是宾语。

38. be amazed at对……感到惊讶

用法：be amazed at后跟名词或名词词组，相当于be astounded by。

例句：She is amazed at the fast change of technology. (2015年12月六级)

她对技术的快速变化感到吃惊。

39. be angry with生气

用法：be angry with表示“生某人的气”，表示为某事件生气要用be angry at。

例句：He removed a lot of photos from her computer and she was angry with him.

他删除了她电脑中大量的照片，她很生气。

40. be annoyed with被……烦扰

用法：be annoyed with接介词with而不是by。

例句：People are often annoyed with impolite words.

人们通常被不礼貌的话惹恼。
