9. get through完成，通过，消耗，使明白，及格，用电话联系上

异同之处：get through一般可以直接接宾语。需要注意的是，表示“使明白”时，get through要与介词to连用，to后面跟表示人的名词或者代词，如get through to her（让她明白）。

例1：Well, the trouble is that I never get through the weekly reading list, though some books are quite interesting. (2015年6月四级)

问题是，我从来都没有完成每周的阅读清单，尽管有些书很有趣。

结构分析：Well是状语,the trouble是主语（the是定冠词作前置定语），is是系动词，that引导表语从句，I是主语， never get through 是谓语，the weekly reading list是宾语(the weekly reading是三个前置定语),though引导状语从句，some books是主语，are是系动语，quite interesting是表语（quite是副词作前置定语）。

例2：I am sorry that you didn’t get through the examination.

很抱歉，你考试没有及格。

结构分析：I是主语，am sorry是谓语（系动词am+表语sorry=系表型谓语），that引导宾语从句，you是主语，didn’t get through是谓语，the examination是宾语。

例3：He got through after trying to ring up many times.

拨打子多次电话后，他终于打通了。

异同之处：give out作“分发”解时，与hand out同义；作“发出”争时，与send out同义。

例1：The teacher asked the monitor to help her to give out the papers.
