我们的《PEP小学英语》对话语篇拓展集

上海尚阳外国语学校桐乡实验学校  缪惠琴

由《英语课程标准》而知,小学英语教材均以话题为线索,围绕颜色、身体部位、服饰、家庭、事物、动物、方位、季节、天气、购物、日常活动、家务劳动、交通、旅行、职业、国家等话题分类创设,笔者带领桐乡市实验小学教育集团人民小学一群爱好英语阅读与写作的小作家们围绕《语篇拓展教学》在2020 的暑期进行了创编活动,这些语篇文本题材多样,体裁丰富、图文并茂且难易适中,适合三四年级的学习水平,符合他们的学习兴趣。

A Mini-play

Qiu Yuanmeng (601)

This story is about two children helping an old grandpa.
Bike Rider=BR  Grandpa=G  Driver=D 
Two pupils=Tp  Pupil1=P1  Pupil2=P2
BR: Ding Ling Ling! Ding Ling Ling!
G: Oh, the bike is fast! I can’t cross the street.
D: Beep! Beep! Beep!
G: Oh, I can’t cross the street. The car is so fast!
Tp: Grandpa, let’s help you!
G: Thanks very much! You two are very kind.
P1: Stop! Stop! It’s a red light.
P2: Look! It’s a green light now, let’s go!
P1: OK! Let’s go now.
G: Thanks again.

这是发生在两个学生帮助老爷爷过马路时的一段对话,孩子们对如今繁忙的城市街道了然于心,特别是那些车水马龙时刻听到的汽笛声与喧哗声更是刺耳。但他们亦能演绎得栩栩如生,还有孩子们单纯地乐于助人和自觉地遵守交通规则之举也是自然流露!

这是发生在兔子和熊之间的有趣对话,初学者操练想要吃什么的对话,操练句型:What would you like to eat? 感觉bear就是老朋友Zoom的缩影,有点贪吃又有趣!不过此对话又体现了健康向上的一面,除了一味选择好吃的,也要教育学生选择对我们有益的食物。最富于本对话文本新鲜感和趣味性的是I want to eat …,too.将小孩子的天性展露无遗:觉得别人吃的都是好吃的,最好把所有好吃的自己也能都吃一遍!

这是一篇讨论衣着的对话,相对来说比较简单,适合于刚学英语的小朋友,不只乐于和同学打招呼,还有迫切想询问对方叫什么?又对可爱的东西极感兴趣,但其实小作者想要表达的是自己喜欢如何搭配穿着,以及颜色的选取。展现出一套酷酷的搭配!最后引出自己最爱的gray颜色,继而也让别的小读者学会了该词。学生们爱说、乐说。

C: What about adding up all of the colours?
S: Then it will turn grey. Haha!

这是一篇充满好奇又倍感神奇的对话,同学在一起画画,混合不同的颜色又产生新的颜色,让学生有种跃跃欲试之冲动。最后得出孩子的天性,一种探究欲与贪玩的心性自然流露:把所有颜色加进去!好奇心驱使,产生出问题What about adding up all of the colours?

进行想象型猜测,对于低段学生猜一猜环节是极感兴趣的,因而也激起了他们爱说及乐说。

Cinderella

Z: I know. “Cinderella”is all about a girl. The girl is filial, piety and kindness. She is abused by stepmother and sisters for a long time. Every day she must do a lot of housework like a kitchen maid.
W: All right! We know now.
J: I will remember it.
Z: All right.

灰姑娘的童话故事很多小朋友都耳熟能详,此篇对话中来自America的John是不知晓的,所以Wu Yifan进行了简短的介绍,这篇对话文本的拓展词汇较多一些,老师可以适当引领一下学生。让学生们对于以前启于齿,却无法脱出口的英语能自然输出及流利表达。不过灰姑娘的filial 孝顺,piety 虔诚 和kindness善良对小朋友还是很受教育的。
