在很多人的潜意识里，来海南岛只能坐飞机，其实不然，目前有从哈尔滨有直达海口的火车 ，也有从长春或北京发往三亚的直达火车。这些火车虽然路程遥远，至少需要30多个或40多个小时才能到目的地，但是坐火车的乐趣和经历常人是飞机乘客无法体会的。

首先你需要在网上订票，原则上火车票至少需要提前5天订票才有座位。

很多地理不错的朋友或许会问，在没有跨海大桥和海底隧道的情况下，这么长的火车是怎么过琼州海峡的？   

往海南岛的火车开到雷州半岛南端的徐闻县粤海铁路北港后，分拆成为四段，牵引到火车轮渡第一层船舱里，轮渡上层可载汽车和其他过海乘客。

火车轮渡驶过琼州海峡到达海口粤海铁路南港，把各段车厢牵引到码头上，重新连接起来后开到火车站，全程约需3个半小时。

在火车过琼州海峡过程中，旅客始终停留在车厢里不能出来，车厢里没电也没有空调，也几乎看不到外面的海。

如果有旅客想在过海时欣赏琼州海峡风光，最好是坐火车到徐闻火车站下车，再坐公交车到海安港，坐汽车轮渡到海口。
