ChrisWall and Dan Dominguez have been dreaming big since they were 17-year-old highschool students in EL. Paso, Tex. USA. At that time they flew alone in a planeto Alaska and back.

Nowthey were really dreaming big. They were planning to take off this September onan around-the-world flight. And all went well, the 21-year-old pilots at lastbroke a world record by becoming the youngest to fly by themselves around theEarth.

As they circled the world intheir small, two-engine airplane, they would be taking plenty of kids along forthe ride, because students could follow their flight by way of the Internet.The flight took three months and made about 32 stops.

Their plane was highly versatile(多用途的). Dan said, "it can take off from amuddy strip in Bali, the deserts of Egypt, the jungles of Africa, yet it canstill cross the ocean."

Dan, a commercial pilot andflight instructor, recently graduated form the University of Rochester New YorkState. Chris is a three-year student at Rice University in Houston, Tex.

The purpose of their project,called World Flight 2000, was to make education more interactive and toencourage young people to follow their dreams no matter how challenging theyare.

Said Dan: “We want to sharethe spirit of flying and show students that anything is possible with a goodeducation, persistence and perseverance."

At each stop, the two pilotstalked with students about their trip. They also visited schools all over theUnited States to tell about their adventures.

"We've wanted to flysince we could remember," they said. "We started flying before wewere driving."

Certainly, face-to-face talkswith foreign businessmen are also important channels to get market information.The Chinese Export Commodities Fair and some other fairs of similar nature aswell as visits of foreign businessmen provide us with such opportunities.
