Are You Smart as Your Thought?

Monday

Phishing for Phool is an economics work written by George A. Akerlof and Robert J. Shiller, two excellent economists. They won Nobel Prize in Economics in 2001 and 2013 respectively because of their research on imperfect market theory.

Though these theories are too complex to be understood by the masses, this book uses a lot of most common examples to introduce those theories in order that all people can get it.

In this book, you will find yourself a lot of “foolish” behavior in market. You will find bankers, salesmen, bosses and all kinds of parts of market know how to use weakness of human beings to make profit, which misleads us to make decision.

· Did you buy a lot of useless goods just because of one more discount?

· Did you pay for annual membership fees instead of measured card in GYM with the sounded cheaper fees? And then you almost never go GYM in following year.

· Did you spend half your savings for a journey?

· Why England people regret after they voted to leave EU just in one day?

After asking these questions to yourself, do you still believe you are so smart in market? But why?

I recommend the book, and I do believe you can get answers.
