Cervarix: the evangel for the Chinese cervical cancer victims
中国宫颈癌患者的福音：疫苗正在袭来
On a global scare, a new case of cervical cancer is checked out per minute and one female dies of cervical cancer per two minutes. In China, the cervical cancer cases take up more than 28 percent of that in the whole world. And the human beings should take actions to fight with the terrible and dreadful cancer. Undoubtedly, the vaccine is one of the quite effective and functional ways.
在全球范围内, 平均每分钟即检查出一例宫颈癌新发病例，每两分钟就有一名女性死于宫颈癌。在中国，宫颈癌是15 岁至 44 岁女性第二大高发癌症，每年约有 13 万新发病例。每年, 中国的宫颈癌病例占全球的 28% 以上。这么可怕的癌症，人类必须采取行动，疫苗无疑就是其中的一种很有效的方式！
On July 18th of 2016, British pharmaceutical company GlaxoSmithKline announced that its Cervarix vaccine had become the first human papillomavirus vaccine to be approved by the Chinese government. Cervarix is administered in a series of three injections, and it has been approved in China for female patients whose age ranges from 9 and 25. The vaccine will officially enter Chinese markets in early 2017. Moreover, the first approved vaccine is the bivalent HPV vaccine which is genially called as Erhuo by some people. Then, the Chinese females could get the Cervarix vaccine directly in domestic. Long before, some Chinese females just went to Hong Kong or even moved abroad to get vaccinated which had been popular for some time. But now, you could save a lot such as the air fare.
2016年7月18日，英国医药公司葛兰素史克宣布，旗下希瑞适人乳头状瘤病毒疫苗成为首个获中国政府批准的宫颈癌疫苗。采用三剂免疫接种程序，它适用于9--25岁女性接种，并将在2017年初正式上市。而且，这次国内获批通过的，是“二价HPV疫苗”，有人亲切地称之为“二货”。那么，中国女性可以直接在国内接受疫苗！曾几何时，赴港赴海外打疫苗曾经风靡一时，现在可以节约飞机票啦！
At present, cervical cancer is the only malignant tumor with clear cause. As relative researches indicated, a number of 99.7 percent cervical cancer patients have connection with the HPV infection. HPV, or human papillomavirus, is a common viral infection that usually causes few symptoms. Several strains of the virus, however, can lead to serious complications, including cervical cancer in women and other cancers in men.
宫颈癌是目前唯一明确病因的恶性肿瘤。有关研究表明，99.7%的宫颈癌都和HPV感染有关。HPV，人乳头瘤病毒，是一种常见的病毒感染，并无明显症状。但有几种类型的病毒可导致严重并发症，包括女性宫颈癌，以及其它几种男性癌症病。
As the first cancer vaccine all around the word, it has been listed for a total ten years in the global market and has saved a lot of potential HPV victims. According to some statistics, the infection rate of the HPV16 and HPV18 in China is 84.5 percent. In theory, vaccine will be more effective for the Chinese females. According to the relevant literature review illustrated, the victims can keep stable after injecting the bivalent vaccine. The validity of the bivalent vaccine with three injections for the cervical lesion immunogenicity and protective efficacy which is led by the related HPV16/HPV18 infections have been active for over 8.4 years and 9.4 years.
作为世界上第一个肿瘤疫苗，上市全球已经整整10年，拯救了无数宫颈癌潜在患者。据统计，中国女性HPV16型和HPV18型的感染率为84.5%，理论上说，疫苗对中国女性将更加有效。据相关文献综述说明，二价疫苗 3 剂接种后至少5年内保持稳定。二价疫苗3剂次接种程度对 HPV16/HPV18相关感染所致宫颈病变的免疫原性和保护效力可分别长达8.4年和9.4年。
Even though, the effectiveness of the HPV vaccine prevention is over 90 percent. As proved, the vaccine could not absolutely prevent with 100 percent. In addition to the vaccine injection, it is necessary to do regular screening. In 2013, according to the handbook published by the WTO, it indicated that the cervical cancer scanning project which is concentrated on the cytology and HPV inspection methods has significantly reduced the morbidity and mortality of the cervical cancer. It is unbelievable that the morbidity has dropped as 60 percent to 90 percent.
虽然HPV疫苗预防的有效性高达90%以上，但仍不能100%预防宫颈癌。除了接种疫苗之外，定期筛查也是必要的。在2013 年 WHO 发布的指南中指出，以细胞学和HPV 检查方法为主的宫颈癌筛查计划已显著降低了宫颈癌的发病和死亡。有点不敢相信，宫颈癌发病率下降了60%～90%。
Finally, healthy lifestyle is the most important. Especially, the healthy sex lifestyle is crucial to cervical cancer prevention. To live a healthy life with regular inspection, early detection, early diagnosis and early treatment is the only feasible and practical way to keep one free of cancer!
最后，健康的生活方式才是至关重要的，尤其健康的性生活方式仍是预防宫颈癌的关键。健康生活，定期检查，早发现，早诊断，早治疗是远离癌症唯一的可行之路。
