he repaired cars in a local garage. At the age of 18, he entered military service in the Slovak army. After the army, he returned to work as a mechanic, but at that time Czechoslovakia broke up into the Czech Republic and Slovakia, work problems. Richard started painting at the age of 20. Although he never received an art education,
his talent for depicting life on canvas was immediately recognized. Landscape painting by Richard Mravik cannot leave anyone indifferent. In 1999 he came to Canada and was quickly introduced to the North American art scene. He traveled throughout Central and Western Canada to get acquainted with Canadian nature. The surrounding nature is a source of inspiration.
