大家都知道，英文中的比较级是用来比较的，一般会在两者之间作比较。有一种比较级的用法比较特别，就是“否定+比较级”，如果从字面上理解，就是“不能更……”之意，所以这种用法其实表达的不再是比较级，而是最高级的含义。

在口语中有一些常用的表达就是使用了这种形式，在这些表达中的“否定词+比较级”我们通常理解为：“非常……”。

Couldn’t be better.

非常好。

A: How are you doing?
