GO, CATERPILLAR!

At the first term of senior high school, we held the sports meeting. It was the first time for me in the new school to take part in the sports, so I was very excited.
There were all kinds of fun events such as Rescue the teacher, Rolling running, Caterpillar, Pole race and so on.
My favorite part was The Caterpillar. When we competed with other classes, the teachers also took part in the competition. During the race, competitors rode on the inflatable caterpillars and sprinted to the finish line.
Although the final result was not satisfied, we all had great fun. Look at this picture, how happy they were! Run, caterpillar, run! I was really glad to join in the sports meeting, and I think the memory will always be kept in my mind.
在高一的第一学期我们举办了校运会，这是我在新学校第一次参加校运会，所以感到很兴奋。校运会有各种各样的趣味活动，例如营救老师、无敌风火轮、毛毛虫竞速等等。
我最喜欢的部分是毛毛虫快跑，当我们与同学比赛的同时，老师们也要比赛。虽然最后的结果不是令人非常满意，但是我们大家都很开心。你看这张照片，他们多开心啊！毛毛虫！快跑！我很高兴参加了校运会，这段记忆会在我的脑海里永远保留。
看图写作是英语学习的一个新的写作训练项目。看图写作相当于是规定了内容，相比较日记写作自由发挥来讲，范围有所限制。同时也会给写作指明方向，确定大概内容，避免无话可说。
新版英语课标要求里边，教学活动除了传统的听、说、读、写外，增加了“看”，即 Viewing 这一提法。这要求学生进一步改进学习策略，把原来的文本阅读，扩大到了非文本和可视化范围。
看图写作也是演讲比赛中即兴演讲的内容要求。转换为书面训练，有助于学生熟悉题型，同时也强化学生扩展语境，构思语篇的能力；另外，关注身边的人和事，学会用英语去阐述事件，表达观点和想法，也是英语学科核心素养和课程目标的基本要求。
