你知道要实现联合国制定的2030目标，我们还需要多少能够提供优质教育的教师吗？
专注于教师的瓦尔基基金会认为：我们还需要6900万教师。

今天基金会的负责人也再次提到了这个让我觉得触目惊心的数字。
难道这三年来我们的教师教育没有任何长进吗？
同时，关注数字的时候，我们也要意识到不只是要有教师，而是要有能够提供优质教育的教师。

之所以我（相信很多在场的人也有类似的感受，最后经久不息的掌声算是一个佐证）会觉得Peter Tabichi 点亮了伦敦今晚的雨夜，就是因为他不仅谦逊而且很有信念感。当然这和他的信仰有关，但我感觉还有一点很重要，那就是他真的相信自己在做的事情很重要，每个孩子都有自己的天赋。而他所做的事情就是花时间和孩子们在一起，尽可能陪伴他们找到自己的天赋。
我会有这样的理解是因为他也一直有在不同的场合强调：
最多的感谢要给到我的学生，因为Ta们的成就我才能够站在这里。
目前已经有一些和他有关的中文报道，感兴趣的同行可以用搜索引擎搜索，了解一下每个月把80%的工资都用在学生身上的这位教师。

How do you feel abou all these?

as a key thing, policy makers can do to encourage:
something needs to be done to motivate more teachers
