hit puberty意思就是说Sheldon几年前都还是孩子, 就最近几年才终于长成男人, 发育了, 这是在调侃Sheldon.

为什么字典上查不到hit puberty呢? 因为这不是一个phrase, 而是一个collocation.

phrase=短语, 字典上收录, 短语的意思一般不等于构成短语的各个单词意思之和

collocation=搭配, 字典上不收录, 搭配的意思一般等于构成搭配的各个单词意思之和
