夏天热的表达：

1 baking 灼热的adj.

 It's baking today. 

2 muggy 闷热潮湿的adj.

I'm soaked up in sweat in this muggy weather.这天气很闷热，我浑身是汗。

3 stifling 令人窒息的，闷的adj.

I walked out into the stifling heat of the city in midsummer. 我走了出去，仲夏时节的城里热得让人窒息。

冬天冷的表达：

1 chilly 微凉的

Autumn mornings are often chilly, and I tend to put on a light jacket, rather than a heavy coat or a scarf or whatever. 秋天的早晨常常是微凉的，我一般会穿上一件薄薄的夹克衫，而不是穿什么厚外套或者系个围巾之类的。

2 freezing 很冷的

On freezing mornings, it can be very difficult to get out of bed. 在早晨很冷的话，人容易会变成起床困难户。

Northern China in winter is freezing during this time you may see your breath and you probably need to bundle up. 在中国北方的冬天，你会看到自己的呼吸，可能得穿得严实点。

3 biting wind 刀子风

I ride a bike against the biting wind. 我顶着刀子风骑自行车。

4 be covered in frost 结满霜

When it's freezing, the ground may be covered in frost.  天气很冷的时候，地上会结满霜。

5 It will be sleeting. 雨夹雪，冰雹 

6 blizzard 暴风雪（lots of snow and wind for a short time）

It will turn into a blizzard. 暴风雪要来临了。

7 slush (snow /ice that are partly melted) 雪泥

The snow on the floor will turn into slush.  地上的雪会变成雪泥。

8 It will be below freezing. 温度会在零度以下。
