In the eyes of southerners, bamboo is considered a precious treasure and has many uses in daily life, such as building houses, making tables and chairs, baskets, carrying poles, and so on. Its uses are too broad to be fully utilized! And bamboo roots, for people, are nothing more than useless firewood for cooking!
When the sculptor encounters a bamboo root that is about to turn into firewood, the fate of the bamboo root is reborn. Through the skilled carving of the sculptor, the bamboo root transforms from a useless firewood into a vibrant and beautiful artwork, allowing viewers to comment on it, which is truly beautiful!
In my impression, for a carving master, as long as it is carving, whether it is wood, jade, stone, teeth, bones, or metal materials, as long as the carving knife is harder than the material, there is no master who says that carving cannot be done. Sculptors, through long-term learning, exploration, and practice, while inheriting and promoting national culture, constantly pursue the perfection of art and spiritual transcendence. In the crisp sound of knocking in the shabby room, they create an artistic value that people enjoy talking about. How can this sentiment and spirit not be admirable!
