You can add a proxy list by any of the following means:
The Software can automatically recognize the data format used by most proxy lists. For different formats the Editing Mode is available.
Request type is the method used to test if a proxy is working properly or not.
Software supports 3 types of requests:
The period in seconds given to the server to respond. If the time elapses, a proxy is considered inactive.
The maximum number of tests to be run concurrently. For good internet connection, the recommended value is – 200 - 300 connections.
It is necessary to select at least one protocol to begin the test. When selecting multiple protocols tests are executed consequently, so tests will take longer to run. If the proxy list includes the proxy's protocol (example: socks4://127.0.0.1:1080) it will be selected automatically.
Displays the external IP address of the proxy server. External IP is looked up using trusted script api4ip.info/api/ip/checker/full. Script also returns Geo-location and PTR record. Different script with the same response format may also be used (see Options → Additional requests).
Using the script in point 6 returns the hostname associated with the proxy’s external IP address.
Country and the city are deducted from MaxMind databases by proxy’s external IP address. The same script from point 6 is used.
The Software provides simplified and detailed Geo-location statistics: simplified displays the total number of countries in the Package, and detailed displays the number of Package’s proxies for every country and city.
Checks if the proxy’s IP is listed in ZEN, PBL and CBL databases.
To measure the proxy’s speed you have to specify the resource or a file you want downloading in Options → Additional requests. Speed is calculated using the formula “Speed = size/time”. The bigger the target file is, the more precise the results will be. but testing time will also increase.
The recommended file size for this test is 300-500 KB.
Determines the level of anonymity of HTTP(S) proxy servers:
Important feature to assess your anonymity. This option makes Socks 5 proxy perform domain lookups on the proxy server, avoiding local DNS lookups.
Results are displayed in statistics and in the form of the spreadsheet. The spreadsheet can be sorted and filtered using the Filters tab (for example, to show only proxies with the latency less than 1000ms).
Results can be saved in the original proxy list format (only functional proxies will be saved) or in the selected format with any selected fields displayed. Sorting and filtering parameters will be preserved.
