“学以致用”只是道理，“学用脱节”，或“学而不用”，“只学不用”才是现实。

此话怎讲？

1. 学英语者，“用”指“使用英语”也，简称“用”！

   一般人对“用”的正解，是指现在所学的不是在学的过程中就用，现在“学”英语时不“用”英语，不是边学边用，边用边学。而是把所学的留待“以后用”，期待将来某日出现“考试”、“和老外使用英语”等等“语言环境”时再用，总是把“用”留给未来。这就是“用”的正解，也是“学用脱节”的正解。而一旦这些“用的机会”永远不会出现(应试型的考四六级不算)，“用”就成了不了了之的事。

你只要看看我们很多时候是“用中文”“学英语”，就知道，就是“学用脱节”的最大例证。

2. “用”是“在使用英语中学英语”、“在学英语的同时用英语”。其实，很多人真正有机会“用英语”的时候大多只有这个时候。放弃此时“用”，“用”就是遥遥无期了。

house和home到底有什么区别？

house 家，实体的房子

a single-family building.

一家人独栋的房子

home 家，家乡

the place where a person lives, or where they feel that they belong.  

一个人住的地方，或者归属的地方。侧重感情层面。

I live in Shanghai,

but my home is in Xi’an.

我住在上海

但是我的家乡在西安。

house 特定用途的大楼

the Sydney Opera House

悉尼歌剧院

house 公司，机构

a fashion house

时装公司

a publishing house

出版社

house 议会，议院

the House of Representatives

（美国、澳大利亚及新西兰的）众议院

我们可不可以换个方式，做到“学”“用”统一？

“说”英语，“用”英语：

Well there are some differences between the two words.

这样简单的英语你能“用”起来吗？

For example, house is a building,or any buildings, like an office, like a hotel, like a restaurant, like a shop. We may live in a house,we may stay in a house, or we may work in a house.

这样的英语应该也能“用”吧？

Home is a place or a house, too. But it is the place or the house where our beloved ones, like our father, our mother, our grandparents, or other family members live.

这样的简单英语也能“用”吧？现在不用，何时才用？

So, that is why we say home ,a sweet home, but usually we don't say house ,a sweet house. I don't love my office at all.I only work there. My beloved ones do not live there.

这样尝试着“用”英语，不就“学用统一”了吗？

当然，至于house的其它不同于home的含义，我们也是可以“用”英语来学的。时间关系，这里不展开学习。

当然，我们在这里仅仅只是就“学用脱节”现象做个探讨，所谓“戏法人人会变，方法妙趣各不相同”而已。如果你只想“学英语”而不“用英语”，继续“学用脱节”，我们可以用中文学英语。如果你是想又学英语又用英语，“学用结合”，你就该考虑换个方法了。
