英语口语：My ear's burning(耳朵发热，有人说我好话/坏话)

1) 用中文“学”英语：

1. “I can’t believe I fell over on the stage last night! My ears are burning now – I’m sure everyone is talking about me.”

   简直不敢相信昨晚在舞台上摔了一跤。现在耳朵发热，大家都在议论我。

2. “We should stop talking about Bill now – his ears must be burning.”

  不要再说Bill了，他耳朵肯定发热了。

3. Tom: “Hi Sue! Were your ears burning last night?”

  Sue: “Why? Were you talking about me?”

  Tom: “Yes, I had dinner with Jason and we were talking about you all night. Only good   

  things, of course!”

2) “用”英语“学”英语：

1· “读”英语：

If you say “my ears are burning”, it means that you know or think that other people are talking about you,either good things about you or bad things about you.

2. “说”英语：

Okay.Got you.The ears are burning means People are talking about you.Maybe they are talking good things about you,or bad things about you.

1. “读”英语：

People believe that a burning left ear is a symbol of evil (people were saying bad things about them) and a burning right ear is a symbol of praise (people were saying nice things about them).

2.“说”英语：

Okay.Got it.If you have a burning left ear,that means something evil ,that is, people are saying bad things about you.

If you have a burning right ear,that means something good.People are saying nice things about you.

1. “读”英语：

What does it mean? Right ear burning?

Someone is saying bad things about you - right for spite, left for love !

2.“说”英语：

Okay.Got you. If you have burning ears,then,right for spite, left for love !

Left=love，如果实在搞混“坐跳财右跳灾”，就这么“形象”记忆吧：L(eft)=L(ove)

我们学英语，不一定“脱离中文理解就没办法学”吧？

也不一定开只会说一句，总得跟人“聊”上三句话才算吧？
