不知不觉间已是严冬，每天躲在空调房里舍不得出门，猪年（the year of pig）眼瞅着就要来了。假如佩奇喊你踩泥巴，你去还是去呢？
前几天微博再一次被“社会猪”刷了屏，原因很简单，预告片《啥是佩奇》苦中带甜的温情画面一下子引起了广大人民群众的共鸣，漂泊在外的人们看完觉得有点不是滋味儿。
啥是佩奇
The trailer film, called “What is Peppa?” follows the heartwarming journey of a rural Chinese grandfather on a quest to discover what Peppa is, in order to bring his beloved grandson the perfect Chinese New Year gift.
Trailer： 预告片，先导片。替换词常用clip、short video、teaser等。
Heartwarming：暖心
Beloved：beloved grandson宝贝孙子
Quest： a long search for something difficult to find，常用搭配in quest of something，后面也可以跟for，my quest for happiness.
Follow用得很生动，我们可能会写centers on 或者tells a story of，说的都是拍摄了xxx内容，但是这里follow the heartwarming journey，好像不是在拍片，而是带观众踏上了一段暖心旅程。
那么这部短片说的就是，一位农村爷爷想给住在城里的宝贝孙子送上最好的新年礼物，于是踏上了寻找“啥是佩奇“的旅途。

翻译不能纠结于一词一句，到底什么是点击量？字面背后的信息是什么？我们就是指挥千军万马的将军，不必在乎一城一池之得失，而是要打胜仗，传递文本信息，赢得客户信任。

The video strikes a chord when Li, eagerly anticipating seeing his son and grandson, is told they will not return home for the festival.
It turns out the son has arranged a reunion at his home instead, and Li ends up spending a happy holiday with the family in the city.
Strike a chord：to say or do something that other people agree with or have sympathy with触人心弦，令人感动。朗文例句：Their story is bound to strike a chord with all parents.
Anticipate：to expect something，后面一般跟一件事，所以是seeing his son and grandson
End up：If you end up doing something or end up in a particular state, you do that thing or get into that state even though you did not originally intend to. 意外地做了某事或陷入某种状态 I ended up stuck in the traffic during off-peak hours.
看到爷爷得知孙子不回来过年时，观众心头不由一紧，好在儿子已经为老人家安排好了去城市过年，皆大欢喜。
这部影片took social media by storm，网上有人感动，有人批评。感动是因为影片让自己想起来远在家乡的亲人，批评是因为制片方似乎想通过贩卖亲情来宣传《小猪佩奇过大年》。不可否认的是，农村与城市确实存在巨大的鸿沟，很有可能很多农村居民就真没听说过Peppa Pig。这背后的原因是什么呢？

Hit the heart strings：约等于strike a chord or resonate with someone
Modernise：现代化
Be left behind： 落后、被丢下。重点关注下technologically给出了落后的范围，副词的使用可以赋予句子更加丰富的含义同时保证简洁。Aboriginal peoples in the Amazon rainforest are left behind technologically as well as economically.
Cultural trend：文化潮流，“社会猪”、“一首凉凉送给你”、“skr”等等应该都算。
It指代的是影片，影片触动了不少人的心弦，中国发展得太快了，乡村生活科技水平相对落后，老人跟不上不断变化的文化潮流，但亲情始终不变。小编常年漂在魔都，时时希望可以常回家看看。
