间接引语（1）

Question：老师，今天我们学习什么？

Answer：我们学习间接引语。直接引用别人的话叫直接引语，转述别人的话就叫间接引语，我们来学习这两种引语的转换。间接引语（1）

间接引语    She said she didn’t really know her father. 

Reading：

Amy Mitford: I don’t really know my father. He isn’t easy to get on with. He’s quite self-centered, and a little bit vain, and in some way quite unapproachable.

Amy said she didn’t really know her father. She said that he wasn’t easy to get on with, and that he was quite self-centered and a little bit vain, and in some way quite unapproachable.

I．间接引语的用法。

1 我们经常转述别人的话但又不完全使用他的话，这种方法叫间接引语。

直接引语       “I don’t really know my father.”        

间接引语   She said she didn’t really know her father.

直接引语  “He isn’t easy to get on with, and he is quite self-centered and a bit vain.

间接引语 She said that he wasn’t easy to get on with, and that he was quite self-centered and a little bit vain

直接引语常用引号表示而间接引语则不用引号。

2 转述动词后面的that可以省略。

She said she didn’t really know her father.  (不很正式)

She said that he wasn’t easy to get on with, and that he was quite self-centered and a little bit vain (较正式，而且当间接引语中出现两个that从句时that不省略)

3 say和 tell常被用作转述动词。如果要提说话对象则用 tell + 间接宾语(me, him, the man等)，间接宾语前不加 to。

She said she didn’t really know her father.（不提说话的对象）

可以这样说：

She told us (that ) she didn’t really know her father. (提说话的对象）
