学生作品 | 人物介绍：李时珍

新学年开学近一个月了，选择性必修一的课程我们做了调整，把第五单元的课安排在第一单元之后。因为第一单元主题是 People of achievement，介绍了屠呦呦和爱因斯坦；第五单元主题是 Working the land，介绍了袁隆平。我们在课外还选了黄旭华和许渊冲两篇补充阅读材料。

通过群文阅读和读写课的指导，第一单元的写作任务——介绍李时珍，同学们完成的还不错。在结构和语言上都有从这些优秀文章中去学习和借鉴。今天就来分享一下同学们的作文（有简单修改过）。

Li Shizhen, an intelligent and selfless medical scientist from Ming Dynasty, was born in 1518. He made crucial contributions to the world's medical and botanical history, the most well-known being the book named Ben Cao Gang Mu.

Li Shizhen spent 37 years finishing the book, Ben Cao Gang Mu, which contains about 2000 kinds of herbs with millions of characters. Never did he give up in walking around the world to look for the medical value of some plants. Not only did he visit  many countries, but he also tasted the herbs in person. He even insisted on testing the herbs on himself at the risks of his life. Finally, the book came out in 1578.

  Li Shizhen, a great ancient Chinese medical scientist, was born in 1518 in Ming Dynasty. He made vital contributions to the development of Chinese medicine.

  Ben Cao Gang Mu is the most famous book of Li Shizhen, which is a herbal medicine collection with millions of characters, containing nearly 2000 kinds of herbs. In order to write the book, Li Shi zhen went around every corner of China, climbed numerous mountains, tasted amount of herbs and did tests by himself. With 37 years' efforts, he finally finished the book in 1578.

  To sum up, the determined and devoted scientist should be memoried by us.

  Li Shizhen, a devoted and generous medical scientist, was born in 1518, the Ming Dynasty of ancient China. He made great contributions to Chinese medicine, whose work Ben Cao Gang Mu was a vital part of traditional Chinese medicine.

  Li recorded about 2000 herbs in the book, which had millions of characters. To finish the work, he visited a lot of people for medical texts. He also visited mountains to look for herbs, evaluated hundreds of herbs and even tested them on himself. He spent 37 years finishing the work, finally completing it in 1578.

  Li Shizhen was a remarkable medical scientist, contributing to the development of Chinese medicine.
