养护草坪的小男孩

一个小男孩走进一家杂货店，要求打一个电话。

店主微笑着表示同意。

生意冷清，店里显得很安静，小男孩的通话店主听得清清楚楚。

小男孩问：“太太，您能将您家养护草坪的工作交给我来做么？”

电话里的女人答道：“已经有人替我养护草坪了。”

“太太，我的工钱便宜，只需要替您养护草坪的人的一半。”小男孩说。

女人回答说，她对现在替她养护草坪的人很满意。

小男孩看来是一个执着的人，他没有放弃努力，说：“太太，如果您把工作给我做，我不但替您养护草坪，还免费给您打扫草坪边的庭院和走道，我保证您的草坪在每个星期天都将是全镇最干净最漂亮的草坪。”

然而，女人再一次委婉拒绝。小男孩放下电话。难能可贵的是，店主看到，受到挫折的小男孩脸上始终洋溢着灿烂的笑。

于是，店主对小男孩说：“孩子，我很欣赏你这种生活的态度，如果你愿意，你可以在我的店里干。”

小男孩答道：“不，谢谢，刚才我不过是考核了一下我的工作情况，因为替电话里那位太太养护草坪的人其实就是我!”

A little boy went into a drug store, reached for a soda carton and ask him for a Phone Call.

Shop-owner replied sweetly this is no a STD, but you can do one call. The store-owner observed and listened to the conversation.

The boy asked,"Lady, Can you give me the job of cutting your lawn?

The woman replied,"I already have someone to cut my lawn."

Lady, I will cut your lawn for half the price of the person who cuts your lawn now." replied boy

The woman responded that she was very satisfied with the person who was presently cutting her lawn.

The little boy found more perseverance and offered, "Lady, I'll even sweep your curb and your sidewalk, so on Sunday you will have the prettiest lawn in all of North-Palmbeach, Florida."

Again the woman answered in the negative. With a smile on his face, the little boy replaced the receiver.

The store-owner, who was listening to all this, walked over to the boy and said," Son... I like your attitude; I like that positive spirit and would like to offer you a job."

The little boy replied, "No thanks, I was just checking my performance with the job I already have. I am the one who is working for that lady, I was talking to!"
