A: What's the best thing that you ate in US?

在美国,你们吃到最好吃的东西是什么?

B:I would say the pizza, definitely! We're crazy about it! But, it's really different from Chinese pizza.

我要说当然是比萨饼了,我们美国人对比萨饼简直是疯狂!但是,美国的比萨饼和中国吃到的比萨真的不一样。

A:Why? What's the difference? What toppings do you have?

为什么?有什么不同?你们都有什么样的比萨配料?

B:Well. There are so many different kinds, Let's see ... we have all the usual combinations like Hawaiian and seafood. Of course, vegetarian is very popular, as well, Plus, there're a lot that I think you are really disgusting because we like to put so much cheese on everything!

嗯...美国比萨的种类很多,我们有各种口味的组合,象夏威夷风味和海鲜风味的。当然,还有非常流行的素馅比萨。此外,有很多比萨让你们觉得不对胃口,因为我们美国人无论吃什么都喜欢加很多奶酪。

A: What else is different?

还有那些什么不同?

B: We use traditional Italian pizza ovens, so the crusts are different, One example is the crispy crust, which they bake at a really high temperature so that it comes out really thin and crispy. The dough recipes are different, too. There's whole wheat. sour dough, corn meal and so on.

我们使用一种传统的意大利比萨烤炉,所以烤出来的比萨的饼底也是千差万别的。举例来说,有一种香脆的饼底,就是一定要在高温下烘烤才能烤出真正又薄又脆的这种比萨来,面粉的成分也是不同,有全麦的,发面的,玉米面的等。

A: Anything really strange or special?

还有什么奇特的或特殊的吗?

B:The strangest one that I ever ate was in Chicago, They make something called a Chicago deep-dish pizza. It's made in a special pizza pan with really thick, spongy crust. and twice the number of toppings that you find on other pizzas.

最奇特的就是我在芝加哥吃过的一种比萨。他们创造出这种名为“芝加哥深碟比萨”。他是在一种特殊的比萨盘里制作出来的,他的面饼又厚又软,而且它的配料是一般比萨的两倍呢!

A: So interesting!Next time when I visit USA. I must eat all kind of those pizza.

B:No problem. I will arrange all that.
