imagine用作vt.时，主要表示“想像”，“设想’，;‘以为”，“认为”，“料想”。两种意思的具体用法是:
1.想像，设想
1)跟名词
Can you imagine life on the moon?
你能想像月球上的生活情况吗?
Try to imagine the desert on a very hot day.
试着设想一下大热天沙漠上的情况。
2)跟动名词或动名词的复合结构 (imagine+动名词; imagine+形容词性物主代词或宾格代词+动名词，imagine+名词所有格或名词普通格十动名词)
Try to imagine being on the moon.
设想你在月球上。
I can't imagine lying like that. I would go crazy.
我无法想像我那样躺着，我会发疯的。
Can you imagine his/him becoming a pilot?
你能想像他成了飞行员吗?

4)跟从句

2.以为，认为，料想(后面常跟宾语从句)
I imagine you will enjoy the film.
我认为你会喜欢这部片子的。
I imagine Tom has eaten all the cake.
我料想汤姆吃完了那块蛋糕。
imagine用于这一含义时，若要对宾语从句进行否定，通常将否定词not移至主句，形成“否定转移”:
I don't imagine you will enjoy the film.
我认为你不会喜欢这部片子的。
I don't imagine Tom has eaten all the cake.我料想汤姆没有吃完那块蛋糕。
因此，不难看出:
